Open Dental is currently being used in Australia by a few offices and it works well.
Support
We generally provide e-mail support
to Australia because of the time difference. However, Australian customers are always welcome to call us during our normal business hours. The time in Australia is about
16 hours ahead of us, so it is easiest to reach us in the morning,
because it will be late afternoon of the day before in our local time.
For example, 8 AM Australian time might be 4 pm our time. And since
we tend to be available in the evenings, you may be able to reach someone
as late as 3 PM Australian time in an emergency. We are working on being able to provide phone support 24/7, but it will take us a little time.
Set Region
This is probably already done, but go to your Windows control panel and click Region and Language.
Make sure it's set to English (Australia). This will trigger features that we have included specifically for Australia, such as different names for some address fields and the additional information on statements as described below.
Statements
Provider name and number must show on statements. In the Provider Edit window, set the provider number in the National Provider ID (NPI) field. It will then show automatically on statements.
