Pearl users can send images from the Open Dental Imaging Module to Pearl for diagnosis.
In the Imaging Module, click Pearl to send an image for diagnosis.
The Pearl integration is designed for offices who use the Open Dental Imaging Module for all patient imaging. To use Pearl in Open Dental, first sign up with Pearl. Visit their website for more details: hellopearl.com
Note: If using a third-party imaging software that already has an integration with Pearl, use that integration instead and do not enable Pearl in Open Dental.
To utilize Pearl:
- Enable the Pearl AI bridge.
- Take a new image in the Open Dental Imaging Module.
- While rare, images taken outside of Open Dental can be imported and sent to Pearl as needed.
- Images added to the image categories listed in the Pearl AI bridge are automatically sent to Pearl.
- For images not sent automatically, select an image or mount, then click Pearl.
- All images on a mount are sent to Pearl.
- Images may take time to process. Images update as they are processed. If an image takes longer than 11 minutes, the image times out and must be resent to Pearl. Images that time out cause an alert.
Images currently being processed by Pearl display the Polling... status in the bottom left.
