Upgrade to MySQL 5.0

At some point, you might need to upgrade to MySQL 5.0. This will typically be done if you are converting from another dental software. The only real reason for switching to MySQL 5.0 is because that's the version that we use at Open Dental HQ. So when we send a database to a user, their version cannot be older than our version. In any case, it's a simple process. This only needs to be done on one computer: the server.

Download here: MySqlUpgrade.exe (Select "Open" when given a choice).

Select Unzip to save the files to the given location and to automatically run the installation program. If, for some reason, you need to run in again later, a copy will be on your harddrive at the specified location.

Click Install, and follow the instructions.
