How to Set Up User Group Permissions

How to Edit Existing User Groups

  1. In the Main Menu, click Setup.
  2. Click Security.
  3. In the Security window, click the User Group tab.
  4. Select the User Group to edit.
  5. Use the checkboxes to enable or disable Permissions.
    • If the permission has a Security Lock Date, enter a date or the number of days to prevent users from editing previous items and click Save.

How to Create New User Groups

  1. In the Main Menu, click Setup.
  2. Click Security.
  3. In the Security window, click the User Groups tab.
  4. Click the Add Group button.
  5. Enter a name for the group and click Save.
  6. In the Security window, use the checkboxes to enable or disable permissions.
    • If the permission has a lock date, enter a date or the number of days to prevent users from editing previous items and click Save.

How to Assign User Groups

  1. In the Main Menu, click Setup.
  2. Click Security.
  3. In the Security window, double-click a user to edit.
  4. In the User Edit window, select the User Group(s) to determine Permissions.
  5. Click Save.
