Canada Provider Setup

Before a provider can send electronic claims in Canada, they must be registered with the appropriate organizations. See Register Canadian Providers for E-Claims.

To open the Providers Setup window:

  1. In the Main Menu, click Lists, Provider.
  2. Click Add or double click an existing provider to edit.

For a description of fields, see Provider. Some fields are specific to Canada. They are described below.

CDA Number/Office Number: Assigned in the ITRANS instruction and password sheet(s) (see step 8 in Register Canadians Provider for E-Claims).

Is CDAnet Member: Must be checked to send e-claims.

Note: Taxonomy Code is not sent on Canadian claims. Supplemental Provider Identifiers are not used in Canada.
