Bridge - Camsight  

In Program Links, enable the Camsight link.  You should then be able to click on the new button at the top of the appropriate module.

This data is provided for troubleshooting purposes.

The Open Dental sends commands to Camsight via the command line.  The syntax looks like this:

C:\cdm\cdm\cdmx\cdmx.exe ;patID;fname;lname;SSN;birthdate

Example:
;5001;John;Smith;123456789;01012000

All the fields automatically get stripped of semicolons and spaces. 

The patient id numbers in Camsight must match the patient id numbers in Open Dental for the bridge to work.  If you already have existing patients in Camsight, and the numbers do not match Open Dental, then you must do one of the following:
1. Talk to our conversion team about the possibility of altering the patient id's in Camsight
2. Change all the patient id's in Camsight manually.
3. Manually enter in all the patient id's from Camsight as ChartNumbers in Open Dental. Then, have the bridge use ChartNumber instead of PatNum.

We are not sure yet whether suggestion 1 or 2 is possible.  Suggestion 3 is a hassle.

Also, in Camsight, under Maintenance, Preferences, try changing it from Chart # to Alternate Chart # as a way of making the id's match up.
